This is a truly GREAT reference book on the topic of separation.  The foreword to the second edition by Kevin Mungons is exceptional.  Because nonseparatist groups are not always distinguishable by their names, this book gives insight into those groups that are liberal.  There is a brief documentation of Billy Graham's change from a separatist/fundamentalist to an ecumenical evangelist.  Of special interest to the reader is Chapter 10 by Dr. Myron Houghton, which brings Dr. Pickering's history forward to our present era.  Chapter 12, the final chapter, "Implementing Separatist Convictions", is so practical and needed.  Some topics covered are:  Accepting Invitations to Speak; Inviting Speakers to Your Platform; Choosing Mission Agencies; Recommending Christian Colleges, Universities, and Seminaries; Evaluating Literature and Curriculum.
